💡 Right Triangle Definition of Trigonometry

In a right triangle with the right angle at the bottom-right and the angle $\theta$ at the bottom-left (hypotenuse $c$, base $a$, height $b$):
$\sin\theta = \frac{b}{c}$ (ratio of height to hypotenuse)
$\cos\theta = \frac{a}{c}$ (ratio of base to hypotenuse)
$\tan\theta = \frac{b}{a}$ (ratio of height to base)
Inverse trigonometric functions calculate the original angle $\theta$ from these ratio values.
